Privacy Statement

Kayora Collective (“Kayora”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and any applicable national data protection laws.

Data Controller. Kayora Collective, based in Ericeira, Portugal, acts as the data controller for the personal data you provide through this website. For any privacy enquiry, contact us at hello@kayora.co.

Personal data we collect. We collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, address, booking or property details, photographs, requests, enquiries, applications, including relevant social media details.

Lawful basis. We process your personal data on the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the GDPR: (a) your consent; (b) performance of a contract or steps at your request prior to a contract; (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, provided these do not override your rights.

How we use your data. We use your personal data to respond to enquiries, process bookings and applications, deliver concierge and property management services, communicate with you, maintain site security, and analyse and improve our website and services.

Data sharing. We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted third parties who act as processors such as hosting providers, payment processors and booking platforms strictly to deliver the services you have requested, and only under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection agreements. We may disclose data where required by law.

Where necessary to provide our services, we may share relevant information with third parties, including trusted partners and providers. We only share the information necessary for the specific purpose.

International transfers. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and ensure a level of protection comparable to that required under the GDPR.

Data retention. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting or reporting requirements, and then securely delete or anonymise it.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@kayora.co.

Security. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes. We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. The “last updated” date above indicates when it was last revised.
