Octavio Scholz

Portugal

Octavio Scholz is a Brazilian photographer and videographer based in the coastal town of Ericeira, Portugal, where his work is inspired by the powerful relationship between people, movement, and nature.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Octavio's creative journey began amidst the vibrant energy of one of the world's largest cities. Immersed in skateboarding culture, he developed a distinctive visual language that captured the freedom, creativity, and raw beauty of urban life. For many years, he dedicated his career to the skateboarding industry, working extensively between Brazil and California, documenting athletes, communities, and the culture that shaped his artistic perspective.

In 2018, a move to Ericeira marked a new chapter in his work. Surrounded by dramatic coastlines, rolling waves, and an endless connection to the ocean, his photography evolved from the architecture of the city to the rhythms of nature. Surfing became both a passion and a source of inspiration, influencing a body of work that celebrates light, landscapes, movement, and authentic human connection.

With more than 14 years of professional experience, Octavio specialises in action sports, commercial campaigns, corporate storytelling, real estate, hospitality, and portrait photography. His ability to blend documentary authenticity with refined visual composition allows him to create imagery that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.

Today, Octavio's photography is showcased in galleries, luxury residences, boutique hotels, and private collections around the world. His fine art prints bring the energy of the ocean and the beauty of natural landscapes into thoughtfully curated interiors, transforming spaces while creating lasting emotional connections. Through every project, he strives to tell stories that inspire adventure, celebrate place, and invite people to experience the world through a fresh perspective.
