Emma Lopes is an artist, illustrator and educator based on the coast of Portugal. Spending time in wild places is her favourite pastime and mother nature is her muse. "Every piece I create is a celebration of our natural world and a reminder of our precious interdependency on nature."

A core belief which filters into every aspect of her work is that all life is interconnected. The elements of rhythm and pattern in her paintings introduce a meditative quality, encouraging the viewer to slow down and discover the layers of detail within the work, whether in a coral reef, tropical forest or city park.

The Language of Pattern, Texture, and Reflection

Emma studied fine art painting at University of the Arts, London and Universidade Complutense de Madrid. Emma works fluidly across watercolours, oils, and collage. Melding deep environmental values with a refined aesthetic, her artwork brings a soulful, living presence into modern interiors, making her a sought-after choice for conscious collectors and design professionals alike.
